Sikkim: Our Sikkim trip was a 7 day package and we travelled to North Sikkim with another family. I must say we had one of our best experiences out there. Especially when we visited Lachen we saw that although the terrain was difficult to travel, we were provided good stay and food facility in such a remote location. Our driver was excellently skilled to navigate on difficult road covered with wet snow. From Lachen we headed towards Gurudongmar lake and had a pit stop at Chopta valley. Camera cannot capture the beauty of this valley which was cladded with snow everywhere. If you like snow, then there are plenty of opportunities for you in Sikkim. Lachung is another beautiful place and also very different from Lachen. Excellent food arrangement were made even at Lachung. Our camera could not stop clicking pictures at this place. Back in Darjeeling and Gangtok, the hotels were strategically located around the city center which allowed us to explore the city at our own leisure.

Bhutan: This is another beautiful location to travel. We picked a 5-day trip to Bhutan and were particularly thrilled to see Paro. Firstly the stay was outstanding. Since we are vegetarians, we were a bit skeptical about food, the hotel where we were out up was just excellent in making some great vegetarian dishes. Tiger’s Nest is a must visit if you are going to Bhutan. Punakha valley is another outstanding place to visit. Excellent landscape and a great Dzong. People in Bhutan are honest, helpful and soft-spoken. Generally most of them understand Hindi and Indian currency is accepted everywhere.
